Digitalisation steps towards more efficient production

Through our project, Pakkasmarja achieved smoother digital processes, more efficient communication with contract farmers, more accurate production forecasts and optimised contract management.

Starting point

Metatavu was chosen as a long-term development partner for Pakkasmarja, and the project design focused on developing digital solutions. This phase included designing the architecture of the mobile application and the backend system, as well as preparing the ERP integration.

Measures

Metatavu implemented a comprehensive mobile application and backend system for Pakkasmarja, which were seamlessly integrated into the company’s ERP system. In addition, the project modernised technologies by using modern cloud services and communication solutions such as mobile notifications.

Result

In the final phase of the project, the systems were implemented, improving production and contract management and the service experience for contract farmers. The implementation of the systems reduced manual work and the risk of errors, providing Pakkasmarja with greater manageability and flexibility for future needs.
