An experiential City of Light in your pocket - a mobile app designed by Metatavu brought the event closer to visitors
Metatavu implemented a mobile app for the City of Jyväskylä, which made the City of Light event more experiential and accessible. The app presents permanent and event lighting locations in a map-based view, lists the benefits offered by partners and offers the possibility to participate in a fashion challenge.
Starting point
The aim was to develop a mobile app that would improve the accessibility of the City of Light event and create added value for users by showcasing lighting sites and event content. The app provides an easy way for citizens and visitors to explore and participate in the event in a variety of ways.
Measures
The project was started in close cooperation with the City of Jyväskylä to understand their needs and goals for the application. Metatavu was responsible for the design and technical implementation of the application, ensuring that it is user-friendly and provides a rich user experience.
Result
The City of Light app provides users with a comprehensive and interactive platform to participate in the event. The app combines a map-based view, destination listings, and partner benefits, bringing the City of Light event to life and providing visitors with a unique event experience.
Metatavu’s mobile app puts the City of Light experience directly in the hands of the user – an intuitive solution that makes the event more accessible and inclusive than ever before.
Versatile login
We built a secure and easy-to-use login system that supports both bank authentication and biometric authentication.
In this way, we enable fast and easy access to health services for all users.
User-friendly interface
Ikioma Medical Centre needed a mobile application to improve the use and accessibility of e-services.
Expert assistance was needed in the design and feasibility assessment of the application to ensure that the technical requirements were met and the integration went smoothly.
Comprehensive health record management
We created a clear user interface for the app, providing quick access to lab results, vaccination information and medical reports. Users can compare results, print them in PDF format and contact their doctor directly from the app. This makes the service more accessible and makes managing health information hassle-free.
"The preliminary study was carried out in good collaboration, through discussions and joint brainstorming. The project adequately considered healthcare regulatory requirements, such as system classification and registration matters. Communication with the patient information system provider was proactive, and we often only needed to confirm matters. We received realistic and suitable suggestions, which enabled us to plan further steps. The process was very transparent. Based on the thorough preliminary study, we decided to continue the project towards the development of Ikioma's mobile application. The insights from the preliminary study could be utilized as the project progressed, allowing us to get directly to the heart of the matter."
