Seamless collaboration produced an efficient healthcare application

Medical Center Ikioma in Mikkeli wanted to develop a mobile application to improve the use and accessibility of electronic services but needed expert assistance in planning and feasibility assessment.

Starting Point

Medical Center Ikioma needed a mobile application to improve the use and accessibility of electronic services. Expert assistance was required in the application’s design and feasibility assessment to ensure the fulfillment of technical requirements and smooth integration.

Actions

Metatavu conducted an extensive preliminary study, designing the mobile application’s architecture, creating an interactive visual prototype using the Figma tool, and preparing comprehensive documentation on technical requirements, integrations, and cybersecurity solutions.

Outcome

Metatavu’s preliminary study met Ikioma’s expectations and laid a strong foundation for the mobile application’s further development. The Medical Center was particularly pleased with the project’s results, especially regarding the consideration of healthcare sector regulations and seamless cooperation with the patient information system provider. Ikioma also decided to purchase the actual implementation project from Metatavu.
We improved the accessibility and data security of Ikioma’s mobile application, enabling more efficient use of electronic health services and smooth further development.

Versatile Login

We built a secure and user-friendly login system that supports both bank authentication and biometric identification methods. This enables quick and effortless access to health services for all users.

User-Friendly Interface

Medical Center Ikioma needed a mobile application to improve the use and accessibility of electronic services. Expert assistance was required in the application’s design and feasibility assessment to ensure the fulfillment of technical requirements and smooth integration.

Comprehensive Health Data Management

We created a clear user interface for the application that provides quick access to laboratory results, vaccination records, and medical reports. Users can compare results, print them in PDF format, and contact a doctor directly from the application. This improves service accessibility and makes health data management effortless.
"The preliminary study work proceeded in good cooperation, with discussions and joint brainstorming of ideas. The project took into account the regulatory requirements of the social and healthcare sector, such as system classification and registration matters. Communication with the patient information system provider was handled independently, often requiring only our confirmation. We received realistic and appropriate suggestions based on which we could plan for the future. The operation was very transparent. Based on the thorough preliminary study, we decided to continue the project towards developing the Ikioma mobile application. The findings from the preliminary study could be utilized as the project progressed, and we were able to get straight to the core of the matter."
