The extensive design phase of the Xamk Pulse platform helped South-Eastern Finland University of Applied Sciences expand its educational offerings and create a mobile-friendly, modern solution for selling micro-courses. The design process, based on an agile development model, ensured a flexible and efficient foundation for the platform’s future development and implementation.

Starting Point

The project’s goal was to create a modern and mobile-friendly platform design for Xamk, combining the Pulse and EduFIcation online stores into one functional entity. The platform needed to be flexible and based on open-source code, allowing Xamk to manage and develop it according to their own needs.

When logging into the Xamk Pulse platform, a student creates a personal profile that provides a clear overview of all ongoing courses. In the profile, the student can easily see the progress of different courses and track their advancement in real-time. Additionally, the platform automatically recommends free and open courses based on the student’s defined interests, helping to discover new learning opportunities effortlessly.

Easy registration

Registering for new courses on the Xamk Pulse platform is quick and smooth. Students can browse the course offerings, select a suitable course, and register with just a few clicks. Payment is conveniently handled through various payment methods, such as online banking, making the entire process effortless and student-oriented.
