Content Management System for a Science Center

The Center for War and Peace Muisti is a science center operating in Mikkeli that educates about war to promote peace. For the Center for War and Peace Muisti, we implemented an exhibition management system that enables the management of digital exhibition materials. The exhibition management system developed by Metatavu is a unique way to produce and manage digital exhibition content.

Starting Point

The Center for War and Peace Muisti wanted to create a new kind of exhibition experience where visitors can immerse themselves, experiment, and influence the exhibition experience. We implemented a backend system that enables a unique way to manage digital exhibition content.

Actions

Before the actual development project, we carried out a preliminary study phase, which mapped out the technology choices, architecture, and service descriptions for the exhibition system. It defined, for example, how an individual exhibition point should function.

Outcome

The exhibition system is intended to be further developed so that it can also be used to implement other exhibition sites utilizing digital content.
